New 'Cup&Up' breast lift

breast enhancement
Researchers in Israel are looking at a new surgery that could revolutionise the breast lift.

The 'Cup&Up' breast support kit is designed to reduce invasive breast surgery, by inserting a silicon bra into the body and attaching it to the ribs. This internal bra would then support the breast tissue, preventing the breasts from sagging and drooping.

The benefits of the Minimally Invasive Mastopexy (MIM) over traditional breast surgery include lack of gravitational sagging, minimally invasive surgery, and a shorter recovery period.

Speaking to the website ISRAEL21c.org, inventor and head of surgery at Tel Aviv's Ichilov hospital Dr Eyal Gur said: "Statistic[s] show that about eight per cent of American women who undergo breast lifts end up filing malpractice suits due to sagging.

"Our device is safer than breast surgery and will prevent the need for these women to undergo a second invasive procedure."

The procedure can be adapted for breast augmentation and breast reduction operations, as it is targeted to prevent breast sagging.

There are currently preparations in place to test the Cup&Up in human clinical trials over the next few months.
