Legal and General cuts prices on income protection/critical illness plans

Legal and General has repriced a range of income protection and life with critical illness products. Most prices have been cut.

 

The income protection policy affected is Family and Personal Income Plan.

 

The two life with critical illness policies affected are Level Term Assurance and Decreasing Term Assurance. Repricing applies to guaranteed and reviewable premiums.

 

On a guaranteed premium Level Term Assurance with Critical Illness, a single male non smoker aged 20 next birthday, for a 25 year policy and sum assured of £100,000; will now pay £20.85 a month.

 

On a reviewable premium Level Term Assurance with Critical Illness, a couple of non smokers aged 40 next birthday, for a 15 year policy and sum assured of £200,000; will now pay £139.65 a month.
