In response to the
MoneySavingExpert and Which? joint campaign to help consumers reclaim payment
protection insurance, Sarah Brooks of Consumer Focus says, “We want to see
compensation money going back to the consumers who were mis-sold, not into the
pockets of firms trying to cash-in. 'It is very concerning that those consumers
who were ripped off when taking out this insurance now face fresh misleading
approaches by claims management companies. If you are thinking about turning to
a claims company, look into making the claim yourself .You could potentially
save hundreds of pounds."
