A new range of
cosmetic laser treatments has been launched by Lumenis, a firm specialising in medical and cosmetic laser systems.
According to Lumenis, Bridge Therapy is the most accurate and gentle cosmetic laser system on the market, and the procedure has a significantly reduced recovery time compared to other such treatments.
The system uses CO2 lasers to smooth out lines, wrinkles and scars and to tighten the skin.
Patients who have a full facial resurfacing on a Thursday could return to work looking rejuvenated on the following Monday.
Max Murison, consultant plastic surgeon at Morriston Hospital in Swansea, commented: "The innovation of Bridge Therapy in aesthetic treatments means drastically reduced downtime for patients. It is relatively pain-free and has a very high satisfaction rate amongst patients."
The first available treatment in the series is ActiveFXTM, which involves a full facial resurfacing in just 20 minutes and a four-day recovery period.
