A new dedicated healthcare specialist was formed on 1st April 2008, when, following regulatory approval and policyholders voting in favour of the alliance, specialist private medical insurance provider Exeter Friendly Society and specialist income protection provider Pioneer Friendly Society joined forces.
The enlarged group will initially trade under the existing Exeter & Pioneer brands.
