Aetna launches social media tool for its international members

Aetna Global Benefits (AGB) members now have access to an additional online resource designed to help them easily navigate their benefits and achieve their optimal health. AGB has launched its presence on Facebook, to enhance the service experience for the organisation’s 400,000 members located worldwide.

Donna Otten of Aetna Global Benefits says, “Social media is an additional, innovative way to engage and educate our members on how to best use their plan benefits to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.”

AGB will initially focus its efforts on creating an online community. The organisation’s page will include frequently updated information on its international provider community of more than 61,000 health care providers outside of the U.S. and approximately 900,000 in the U.S., answers to frequently-asked benefits questions, news feeds and videos, and health and wellness information and resources.
