Non-surgical cosmetic procedures such as botox are becoming "more and more prevalent", a consumer advice group has observed.
According to Looking Good BuyAssociation, the treatments are ideal for those who want to change their appearance without having to go under the knife.
Editorial director Felicity Quigley said that treatments such as botox and dermal fillers have become known as 'lunchtime procedures', "because you can literally have them done in your lunch hour if you want to".
"It's also good for people who are perhaps frightened of actually going under the knife, perhaps they think that's going too far," she revealed.
Ms Quigley noted that it is "really, really important" to make sure you choose a practitioner who is accredited and qualified to perform the procedure.
She commented: "Just because your procedure's only going to take an hour doesn't mean that you shouldn't be making sure that they're qualified to do what they're supposed to do.
"You may be in a lunchtime procedure but you need to do a lot of research beforehand."
