Good health is important because it allows you to get the most out of life. However with a busy life, juggling commitments with work, home, friends and family, it’s sometimes difficult to look after yourself and stay healthy too.
Many conditions that affect women’s health happen gradually and can sometimes go unnoticed. A problem may start as a minor niggle, and before you know it you’ve learned to live with it, putting any concerns aside as you get on with your life.
Also, you may not know that you can be treated; from menstrual matters to menopause, and breast concerns to varicose veins – whatever your health worries, you can contact Nuffield Health using their online enquiry form or ring them on 0800 688 699.
Last year alone, over 21,000 women chose to talk to Nuffield Health about women’s health problems. Patients are commonly treated for conditions including problem periods, infertility, osteoporosis and endometriosis.
Nuffield Health are passionate about health, and how they treat people – everyone is different, and because you’re an individual, they tailor treatment just suit you. Their staff will fully respect your privacy all times, and you’ll be treated with care and consideration.
Women's health issues treated:
Women's health consultation
At your outpatient visit, you will chat to your consultant who will look after you throughout your treatment and or hospital stay. He or she can discuss options with you, and help ease any worries you have.
You may want to think about what you want to say before your visit. You can then jot down a few questions, or simply ask any that spring to mind on the day. You may also want to think about your symptoms and when they started, in order for thier consultant to get a better understanding of any women's health issues you may have. If you are on any prescribed medication, please bring the details along to your outpatient visit, as this can be useful information for your consultant.
Your appointment can take from 15 to 45 minutes, depending on your needs. Sometimes need to carry out further tests on the same day, or we may ask you to come back another day. But we will always fully explain why we need to do any extra tests. Read more about women's health consultations at Nuffield Health.
