Solutions 4 Snoring: Snoring cure and snoring remedies in the UK

Solutions 4 snoring - logo

Snoring diagnosis is the key to effective snoring treatment!

The mission of Solutions 4 Snoring is to offer cures for snoring to sufferers of snoring and also to treat sufferers of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). Snoring treatment can be sought from either a healthcare professional or by self-diagnosis and treatment. The company recommends that a through diagnosis is undertaken to determine if the snorer also suffers from obstructive sleep apnoea and to determine the appropriate snoring treatment. Solutions 4 Snoring’s patient care pathway (see below) is a well established protocol.

Snoring diagnosis

The NHS will not treat simple snorers due to financial constraints and only 50% of sleep centres provide a treatment service for obstructive sleep apnoea.

Solutions 4 Snoring firmly believes that snoring is a serious issue and all snoring should be properly assessed. Snoring Assessments can be undertaken either at a Snoring Clinic or by using their Free Online Snoring Assessment service, which will also assess the liklihood of whether you suffer from Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. Complete their free online questionnaire and their assessment team will provide you with a preliminary assessment within 24 hours.

Snoring is the UK’s secret epidemic. Research has shown that 80% of the population would visit their GP, but for the country’s 12 million snorers the answer lies with a specially trained dentist or healthcare professional. Snoring is more than just a loud noise. It leads to broken sleep for snorers and their partner. It can have a profound impact on their quality of life as it can be embarrassing and create marriage problems.

Obstructive Sleep Apnoea is a more serious and often undiagnosed condition, which contributes to day time sleepiness, hyper tension and diabetes and ultimately heart disease. The only way to determine if you have obstructive sleep apnoea is to have a sleep study. The Solutions 4 Snoring home sleep study process is simple...

  • Home Sleep Study equipment will be collected and the data assessed by a Physician.
  • Diagnosis and recommended treatment will be provided within 15 working days from the receipt of the equipment and completed questionnaire.

Snoring treatment

There are a number of cures for snoring. The most clinically proven snoring treatments are Mandibular Advancement Splint therapy (MAS Therapy) for simple snoring and mild / moderate obstructive sleep apnoea (without excessive day time sleepiness) and Continuous Positive Air Pressure (CPAP) for sufferers of severe obstructive sleep apnoea. UPP surgery should only be considered last.

Solutions 4 Snoring is the UK’s leading provider of cures for snoring using MAS therapy through its network of over 650 specially trained healthcare professionals or its range of self-diagnosis treatments (see below). Find your nearest trained healthcare professional.

What is a Mandibular Advancement Splint (MAS therapy)?

This is a collective name for mouth pieces which are designed to prevent the lower jaw from dropping back during sleep which in turn reduces the risk of the airway narrowing. The narrowing of the airway causes the soft tissue to vibrate which in turn causes the sound of snoring. The role of mandibular advancement splints in the management of snoring is widely recognised (SIGN guidelines, 2003). The most clinically proven and effective mandibular advancement splint is Sleepwell. The company also offers a range of self diagnosis treatments called Snoresolve and Snoreshield.

Sleep Clenching Inhibitor (SCI)

Many people clench and/or grind their teeth at night whilst asleep and do not even realise it! This is due to a tensing of the jaw muscles bringing the upper and lower teeth under immense pressure. Not only does this cause damage to the teeth but is often the cause of headaches, jaw and neck pain.

Treatment with the SCI is non invasive and it is only worn at night. The SCI will reduce tensing of jaw muscles and the risk of damage to teeth, damage to valuable dental restorations, headaches upon awakening and jaw and neck pains.
