Psychological therapy and counselling for depression in London
Depression is characterised by sad or low mood, difficulties in sleeping, changes in appetite, problems with concentration and decision-making, pessimistic thoughts and loss of enjoyment in life. It is not easy to 'snap out of' depression, but it is possible to find freedom from it with the help of psychological therapy.
City Psychology Group uses a 'brief' and modern approach to the treatment of depression that is solution-focused and time-sensitive. The driving philosophy at CPG is the belief that their clients innately have most coping mechanisms. Their aim is to develop and reinforce these coping strategies using a combination of evidence-based psychological therapies, empowering the client early on in the process. The approach is about getting effective results in a time frame that suits each particular individual.
Clients experiencing depression are actively involved in all aspects of their therapy process at CPG and the highly experienced practitioners are committed to providing a supportive, non-judgemental and safe space in which problems can be overcome.
