LASIK/LASEK laser eye surgery
Lasik and Lasek laser eye treatments have become established as the most popular forms of refractive eye surgery. In both cases the front of the eye, the cornea, is carefully “sculptured” using a special laser.
LASIK/LASEK Wavefront treatments
Wavefront treatments use advanced diagnostic technology to help correct tiny imperfections or aberrations on the cornea. The treatment optimises the results of laser eye treatment.
Apart from laser eye treatments the Academy also provides other refractive solutions
Including cataract removal, lens exchange and lens replacement. A cataract is a clouding of the eye’s natural lens which lies behind the iris and pupil. The lens works much like a camera lens, focussing light onto the back of the eye or retina. The lens also adjusts the eye’s focus. Through ageing cataracts may develop and require removal.
