The
Royal Artemis Dialysis Unit was created to give the opportunity to kidney sufferers, whose life depends on dialysis, to enjoy a relaxing holiday abroad. Those who have the need to visit a dialysis centre on regular basis do not have to stay home anymore to follow their treatments.
The possibility of travel to a beach resort like Paphos in Cyprus, enjoying the sea with perfect weather, beautiful natural scenery and interesting sightseeing while taking care of their medical condition is now a reality.
A modern dialysis unit
The Royal Artemis Dialysis Unit offers the latest modern methods to patients needing haemodialysis treatment and can effectively satisfy the needs of overseas kidney patients who decide to spend their holidays in Cyprus. The unit is located in a quiet and independent area of the
Royal Artemis Medical Center
The medical equipment is regularly updated and purchased according to the latest therapies available, resulting in a continual improvement of the centre's facilities. The Haemodialysis Unit is equipped with Fresenius 4008S dialysis machines with the possibility of single needle. Filters are never re-used. Water purification is based on reversed osmosis and dialysate on bicarbonate.
The Unit can also assist people who are subject to peritoneal dialysis by providing the necessary fluids and cycler machine (subject to advance application).
Dr Christoforos Stavrou is the head of the Haemodialysis Unit, backed up with a team of experienced personnel who treat both patients and relatives/friends in a friendly and human way.
