Basis

Moratorium policy

 

Cover only applies if  the NHS cannot provide treatment for any out-patient surgical procedure, in-patient or day-patient treatment within six weeks of the date on which the treatment should be undertaken.

 

If the NHS can give you the hospital treatment you need within six weeks of the date on which the treatment should be undertaken, then you must use the NHS. However, you have immediate access for other operations and for radiotherapy and chemotherapy performed as a day-patient treatment or out-patient treatment.
