Basis of cover

• All NHS dental appointments and courses of treatment in the UK - 100% reimbursement
• Dental emergency (UK and worldwide) up to £400 per year (£200 per incident)
• Dental accident (UK and worldwide) up to £10,000 per year (£2,500 per incident)
• NHS Cash Benefit per night you stay in hospital as an NHS patient for your teeth - £60 per night
• Treatment of mouth cancer up to £12,000, including smokers
• For joint policies the annual limits are per person

Not covered

• Pre-planned treatment at the time of joining
• Cancer treatment within the first three months of joining
• Costs incurred as a result of receiving specialist dental treatment, or any treatment provided by a recognised dental specialist, unless treatment is as a result of dental accident
• Implants, cosmetic treatment, tooth whitening, orthodontics or any treatment not deemed to be clinically necessary, unless as part of a course of NHS dental treatment
• Sporting injuries where a mouthguard or other recommended protection is not worn, unless treated on the NHS.
