• Pays you a monthly income if you are are unable to work due to incapacity caused by illness or injury

• You can use this benefit in any way - from helping towards paying the mortgage repayments, household bills or covering medical care, to simply helping to maintain lifestyle

For

• Aged 18 to 64

• Employees, self-employed, part timers and housepersons

   

Period of cover

• Minimum 5 years

• Maximum 52 years

Maximum amount payable

• £200,000 a year

• 60% of gross income for first £30,000

• 50% of gross income over £30,000

• £20,000 limit for housepersons

Basis of cover

• Regular monthly income until you return to work

• Normal occupation

• Ends at 70
