Pays out a guaranteed cash sum if you're diagnosed as suffering from a specified critical illness.

For

Aged 18 to 69

Critical Illnesses covered

• Blindness

• Cancer

• Heart attack

• Kidney failure

• Loss of hands or feet

• Major organ transplant

• Motor neurone disease

• Multiple sclerosis

• Paralysis of limbs

• Stroke

• Total permanent loss of independent existence

Not covered

• Any illness not specified
• Some forms of cancer

Period of cover

• Minimum five year
• Maximum 50 years
• Cover ends at age 75

Important note

The cover does not include the following critical illnesses

that almost every other insurer covers as required by the

ABI minimum standards; 

• Aorta graft surgery

• Benign brain tumour

• Coma

• Coronary artery by-pass graft surgery

• Heart valve replacement or repair

• HIV infection from assault

• HIV infection from blood transfusion

• HIV infection from work in eligible occupations

• Loss of speech

• Parkinson's Disease

• Third degree burns

• Traumatic head injury
