How it works
Payout is dependent on the type of cancer.
For these benefits a maximum of four events are payable during the life of the policy:

Malignant cancer (including malignant melanoma)

Benign tumour of the brain, spinal cord or meninges

Ductile carcinoma in situ of the breast

Carcinoma in situ

Skin cancer or melanoma in situ
For prostate cancer, benefit is payable where the Gleason score is 6 or more or if there is a TNM classification of T2NOMO or greater. If someone has already had cancer, any recurrence of that or any secondary cancer (metastases) will not be covered. There is a 13-week initial waiting period before cover comes into effect.
