What the company says
According to Macmillan Cancer Support, one in four cancer patients admit having difficulty keeping up with their payments. A spokesman for Macmillan Cancer Support said 'Our work with cancer patients shows that many of them suffer real financial hardship at a time when they need to be able to concentrate on getting better' (www.macmillan.org.uk).
This is why AIG Direct has created the WellWoman Plan. It covers seven female cancers including breast, cervical and ovarian cancer, paying out up to £25,000 upon diagnosis (or up to £50,000 with Premier Cover)+ to help you and your family financially so you can concentrate on getting better. For some cancers, covered by the policy, which have been diagnosed early, have not spread and can be treated by day surgery the benefit payable would be £1,000.
