Breast enlargement implants are surgically inserted behind the natural breast tissues to increase the size of the breasts and breast augmentation is performed to create better symmetry and make the breasts larger, firmer and fuller. Breast implant surgery can also be inserted to correct abnormalities that have been present since birth or be used to reconstruct the breasts after essential surgery. According to the NHS eighty percent of all breast implant procedures are for cosmetic reasons with twenty per cent being breast reconstructions.
There are many psychological benefits to having breast enlargement. It may boost a woman’s self esteem and help her feel happier and more confident about herself. There are obviously many women for whom breast enlargement is undertaken to improve their cosmetic appearance, and some who see breast enlargement as enhancing their modelling career.
