Treatments offered
SurgeryInFrance charges a fixed fee for research, advisory and logistical services and will provide an accurate budget for the medical treatment. SurgeryInFrance are committed to offering unbiased advice and are not affiliated with any clinics or surgeons that they might recommend. They do not charge a markup or receive a commission on the cost of the medical treatment. Treatment, travel and accommodation costs are paid directly by the patient to the relevant service providers.
Their service is customised to each patient's specific treatment needs. The following plastic surgery procedures are a sample of what's on offer but they can generally offer a choice of top specialists for virtually any procedure including paediatric plastic surgery.
Though costs may vary depending on the treatment, patient requirements and healthcare provider, the table below gives a good indication of the savings to be made by choosing SurgeryInFrance.

A patient's journey
Initial consultation
You will need to contact them to discuss the type of surgery you require, your expectations, time or budget constraints and any other requirements you may have. They are also happy to discuss your prospective treatment with your GP if required. A full understanding of your needs is essential to determine the surgeons who are best qualified for your procedure. These discussions are without charge, confidential and totally commitment-free.
Choosing your surgeon
You will receive a detailed file containing valuable information on each surgeon including qualifications, professional history, success rates and peer and patient comments. Also included will be the cost of the procedure, associated clinical costs, timing constraints that need to be taken into account as well as an estimate of the likely ancillary costs (travel, accommodation, etc).
With the assistance of their medical director and your own practitioner you will be able to make an informed choice of your preferred surgeon. They will supply any additional information which may help you make your decision.
Organising your trip and treatment
Once you have selected your preferred surgeon, they will organise your treatment from start to finish by accompanying and supporting you throughout the whole process. Based on your requirements and the surgeon's schedule, they will organise the initial consultation and any preliminary clinical tests that need to be done. The initial consultation is important to:
- determine whether your general health permits surgery
- confirm your full awareness of the pros and cons of surgery
- establish your confidence and trust in the surgeon
- agree on realistic expectations of what surgery will do for you
- discuss a timetable for surgery and post-operative restrictions
There is a mandatory minimum two week "cooling off" period for plastic surgery after the initial consultation during which any additional questions can be addressed.
Surgery
The day before the scheduled date, you will have consultations with your anaesthetist and surgeon in preparation for surgery.
After surgery, you will be taken to your private room for recovery. They will be there to provide moral support and to try and make your stay as comfortable as possible. Typically there will be a stay in the clinic followed by a stay in a nearby hotel or guest house. The durations of each depend on the type of surgery and post-operative constraints.
During the initial post-operative healing period, you will have regular consultations with the surgeon to ensure a prompt and comfortable recovery and you will also be able to relax and enjoy all that the region has to offer.
There will be a final post-operative consultation with your surgeon several weeks later. In the meantime, if required, they will liaise with your local practitioner.
