Allergies are on the increase. The British Allergy Foundation says that 1 in 4 people in the UK suffers from an allergy at some point in their life.
This figure is increasing by approximately 5 per cent a year and almost half of all allergy sufferers are children. According to a study conducted in Leicester for the National Asthma Campaign, asthma and wheezing in children under 5 years has almost doubled since 1990.
In response to this increase, Cromwell Hospital has established a Paediatric Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Clinic run by a team of Doctors.
This Clinic can help children with a wide range of allergic disorders including:
- Anaphylaxis
Asthma
Eczema
Rhinitis
